Ghazal : Safar ko kabhi to manzil kehte

Safar ko kabhi to manzil kehte
Berukhi ko kyon nahin tarze-guftgu kehte !
Vahmo–fareb hai kafas dil ka
Rahnashin musafir unko karvan kehte
Khak ho jayenge parinde yun bhi
Rindon ko bedar lehar-i-dariya kehte
Khizr bane baithe ho hiran ki tarah
Sabr talab ko pursukun toofan kehte
Rahe shauq mein hai ba-adab qafila
Awargi ko ahle-i-nasheman kehte !
Occasionally atleast call pathway as destination
Why not then call impoliteness as tune-o-discourse
The cage-o-heart is merely illusory deception
Travellers who abandon journey them being called a caravan
The birds will be ruined ultimately that way too
The contented & ecstatic called awakened wave-o-ocean
Sitting in the posture of Gabriel like an antelope
Dispassionate even tempered say a peaceful tempest
On the way to fondness & gaiety is discreet procession
Aimless wandering they call supreme abode !
