Garche zulme-parvar ki inayat ho jaye
goya sau baton ki ek baat ho jaye !
Parde ki tasveeron ke hain chand achhe shayar
dil mein kasak hai mulaqat ho jaye
Barke-nigahee tabassumkuna jism hoton pe hasin
zeenat-e-shab dekhe to baeese infaal ho jaye
Vo nazneen nagah jo samne aa jaye
palken uthen to salaam ho jaye !
If the Devil be kind enough;
then as if instead of vagaries let there be a theme
dialogue straightaway
There are many good poets of cinema
In the cloudiness of rains let there be a meeting
Lightening in the eyes smiling body & giggle on lips
The ‘illuminated’ dusk after seeing her gets embarrassed
If the pretty woman suddenly comes before the eyes
let there be a salute when the eyelashes take an upturn!
गर्चे ज़ुल्मे-ए-पर्वर की इनायत हो जाये
गोया सौ बातों की एक बात हो जाये !
पर्दे की तस्वीरों के हैं चाँद अच्छे शायर
दिल में कसक है मुलाक़ात हो जाये
बर्के-निगाही तबस्सुमकुना जिस्म होटों पे हसीं
ज़ीनत-ए-शब् देखे तो बाइसे-इन्फाल हो जाये
वो नाज़नीं नागाह जो सामने आ जाये
पलकें उठें तो सलाम हो जाये !
